You never know what kind of weather you will get in the Adirondacks, but as they often say here “if you don’t like the weather, wait 10 minutes”… Most of this wedding day was lovely, and guests were out hiking and playing golf, right around ceremony time the skies darkened, and out came the white umbrellas. The dark sky was the perfect juxtaposition to the yellow and orange cheerful floral pallet. Note the creative circular alter piece constructed by Black Sheep Gardens Floral Design. Luckily this bride and groom were very go-with-the-flow as were all of the guests. Our dedicated staff was on hand to pass out the umbrellas mid ceremony when the threatening sky gave way to summer showers. As soon as the storm rolled past the mountains, we were still able to reset the cocktail hour and hold it outdoors, luckily, because here guests could enjoy the extraordinary rainbow show punctuating the mountain skyline. A very happy ending... or beginning. View photos of this beautiful wedding. Photos courtesy of SARAH DICKENSON PHOTOGRAPHY.

A fairytale. This lovely couple married at the club where they met through a reluctant introduction by their mothers. Their guests enjoyed an Adirondack retreat weekend with tennis, hiking, golf and breakfast, lunch and dinner at the club. All punctuated by perfect weather and relaxed smiles.
The couple was gracious and kind from the beginning of the planning process and right through the Wedding day. Often saying, “whatever you think is best Mim, we trust you—you do this all of the time.” Embarrassingly, during their speech of the friends and family they wanted to thank for making their relationship and day possible they mentioned Mim, who at the time smiled back and nodded—but felt like crawling under the dining table. Not that I’m shy, but I feel a job well done from a planner is a humble and invisible one. What a lucky and wonderful wedding weekend of warm fall breezes and still bright fall color. Colorful floral accents by Trillium Florist — love the color combo and bouquet -- and ceremony tree rental from East Branch Organics. Honestly one of the most seamless weddings ever with the super timely bride and groom, accommodating and respectful weddingq party and family, portraits ran like clockwork and were fun too! Incredible food and fun from another five-star service at the Ausable Club. Great way to round out the Fall wedding season. #fallwedding |
