This festive Mountain House wedding was all the couple had envisioned, a backyard party—surrounded by mountains, good food, and loving friends and family. The decor made personal with a wedding rug and first dance rug. They rented a “DJ in a Box” system from Taylor Rental and played their own first dance song and background music. There was no formal dancing planned and no band or dance floor. At one point when the teenagers in attendance took over the playlist there was a spontaneous dance party on the deck of the main house. Guests enjoyed a family style feast from Dubbs BBQ and lots of lawn games. After dark, the couple played their favorite movie on the rented system outdoors, with blankets, and a mock concession stand of candies, complete with self-serve popcorn machine. Plenty of planning goes into this warm and casual event and it was a perfect day for the couple, giving them time to feel like this photo (every couple should have time at their wedding for moments like this). A special local couple enjoyed a magical day with picture-perfect June weather at amazing local venues! The ceremony at beautiful St. Agnes Church, followed by reception at Intervale Base Lodge at Olympic Jumping Complex, with Good Guy Productions entertainment, Little Farmhouse Flowers, and Simply Gourmet Catering, unified this fairy-tale event. We look forward to sharing the photo album captured by Out of the Ordinary Photography. #LakePlacidWedding @ericewilsongoodguyproductions @SimplyGourmetLakePlacid @littlefarmhouseflowers @ootophoto
As a follow-up to the recent "Pop Up Wedding", we received this gracious note from the parents of the bride:
After a friend recommended Mim to Olga and Colin to help coordinate their wedding just over a week ago, they called Mim of Juniper Events & Design and see if by chance she was able to help them with last minute arrangements and onsite coordination for their July 8, 2017 wedding that was 9 days away. After a couple of phone calls and emails to the client to asses their vision and situation, Mim met with the Taylor and sited the tent, ordered the needed supplies, found a florist and ordered flowers, got in touch with all the existing vendors and put together a timeline. Mim met with the couple to help design their perfect day, casual, relaxed and a time for friends and family from mostly Austin, Texas to enjoy the Adirondacks. They were all staying a long weekend at the cabins at Mt. Van Hoevenberg and the owner had been most accommodating about them hosting this casual wedding for 50 guest on the property. |
